Link: Twitter Rolls Out Easy SMS Following, No Account Needed
In an interesting move, Twitter just announced an easy way for non-Twitter users to easy following any Twitter user’s account, by just sending an SMS (txt) message to 40404 with a one-time follow command. That’s it. Thereafter they receive SMS messages of that user’s tweets. It’s called “Fast Follow” and no Twitter account is needed. It’s as easy as voting for an American Idol candidate.
This is very interesting, and a seemingly very creative move by Twitter.
