Link: Google acquires Slide, a social technology company
Google’s post about this acquisition is entitled “Google and Slide: building a more social web” … so who is Slide? Their announcement says, “Slide, a social technology company with an extensive history of building new ways for people to connect with others across numerous platforms online.”
I found the end of one of the sentences to be interesting, “ways to allow our users to take full advantage of how technology can bring them closer to friends and family and provide useful information just for them.” The emphasis on “them” is there in the official posting. Talk about a dig at Facebook’s frequent privacy blunders. 🙂
