Link: The lifespan of a shared link: How long do people see it – What affects its duration
Bit.ly recently analyzed a number of shared links to see how long people click on the link after it is initially shared.
They also looked at whether the the duration was affected by where the link was shared (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Email/IM) and/or by the type of content (e.g. nice fuzzy animals or a major current news event).
